Carrie says: I’ve always felt pretty disconnected from politics—like it’s this big stage full of strangers arguing over things I’m supposed to care about but don’t fully understand. Every election feels like a blur of signs, slogans, and promises I can’t verify, made by people I’ve never met. Trying to figure out who’s actually involved in my community and what they stand for feels like solving a mystery with no clues. Honestly, it’s overwhelming, confusing, and kind of feels like a bad group project where no one’s doing the work but everyone’s talking. That’s why I chose to be part of 2Cents—because I believe we deserve a simple, human way to connect with the decisions and the people shaping our communities. No more guesswork.
And the best part? I’ve finally found something I’m passionate about that lets me give back in a way that feels meaningful. I get to help people like me feel a little less lost and a lot more empowered.
Damian says: I built 2Cents because I was done with being forced to choose between silence and fake loyalty. When someone powerful gets hurt or attacked, the narrative gets hijacked. Suddenly you’re not “allowed” to criticize them—because speaking up gets twisted into something it’s not. But what if the person behind that tragedy was already abusing power? What if that silence is part of the control? I’ve watched people I love—like my mom—get pulled into battles over figureheads, not values. We’re not that different in what we want—truth, progress, safety—but the system thrives by keeping us distracted, divided, and overwhelmed.
2Cents is a reset button. It’s not about left or right—it’s about thinking for yourself, acting with clarity, and building community through truth—not trauma, not trend, not tribalism.

It’s all about helping people take action, stay informed, and connect with their community—whether that’s through voting, volunteering, or even starting conversations that lead to real change. Imagine, you open the 2Cents App to be greeted cheerfully by Penny, your smart civic tour guide. Penny is quick, witty, and plugged into your world.
Your daily mission activates! You’ll answer quick polls, keeping you on your toes about issues that matter (and don't).
Check the community pulse on any question, and when enough people agree, a threshold activates — and boom — your community gets a real, actionable mission to take on together. Then the door opens to Penny’s Arcade, where civic education turns into interactive games and mini-challenges. Learn laws, local policy, and history the fun way — and get rewarded for it.
You’ll earn points through our I.N.S.P.I.R.E. Score System for learning, acting, voting, and helping others within the app— turning civic participation into a game everyone can play. Every tap, vote, and action helps level up your score and neighborhood.
Behind it all runs a Civic Transparency Network — connecting data from public sources so you can see what’s shaping your community in real time. Who supports what, where the influence flows, and how it affects your everyday life. Instead of arguing in comments or scrolling through noise, the app turns opinions into clean, playable polls where everyone’s voice counts equally. No influencers dominating. No endless threads. Just quick, meaningful choices.
As you participate, you earn points, badges, and arcade-style achievements — not for clout, but for civic participation and helping move conversations forward. Polls can be personal, local, cultural, political, or just for fun, and the entire experience is built to feel like an interactive social feed that you play instead of doom-scroll.

The I.N.S.P.I.R.E Score is a dynamic reputation system that tracks how individuals, leaders, regions, and businesses actually behave. Each person builds their score through real civic actions—voting, volunteering, supporting projects, and showing up. Those individual scores roll upward: political leaders inherit a collective Inspire Score based on the engagement and trust of the people they serve; regions gain a score from the performance of their leaders and residents; and businesses earn theirs through transparency, community impact, and how they treat people. Every layer generates its own score, but all layers feed back into the same ecosystem, creating a living metric of participation, accountability, and influence.
Accountability is long overdue because every part of our system—individuals, leaders, regions, and businesses—has operated without a clear, shared measure of impact. The Inspire Score ends that gap by turning actions into visible responsibility.
Now this is the part of 2Cents where the app stops feeling like “social media” and starts becoming real life.
You scroll through the feed normally, polls, opinions, quick takes, and then you hit these “missions.” They look like posts, but they’re not just content. They’re real community actions started by real people: a garden build, a digital literacy class, neighborhood safety patrol, cleanup days, food drives, whatever the community wants to push forward.
Each mission shows you exactly what it needs:

✔ when it starts
✔ where it is
✔ what issue it tackles (education, safety, environment, etc.)
Instead of liking or commenting, you can join it. When you tap Join Mission, you’re not just voting — you’re signing up to help.
The whole idea is simple:

2Cents takes the constant stream of opinions, reactions, and community energy and turns it into a 3D civic heat map — a living model of what your city actually cares about right now.
